Myrrh has been traded and revered for over 4,000 years, used in ancient Egypt for embalming, in religious ceremony, and as medicine. Distilled from the resin of Commiphora myrrha trees in the Horn of Africa, it produces a thick, warm, bittersweet oil with one of the longest shelf lives of any essential oil.
